We moved to the farm in 2002 just before the birth of our third child, having moved from Sydney the previous year looking to escape the city. Initially we just wanted some space to raise our children in the country and the mid north coast hinterland seemed to be the ideal place. The children have now grown up and have moved away from the farm for further study.

Over time, we looked at ways to start a small business on our property. After a few cheese making courses, we dived in and bought a Jersey cow and then 10 lambs to start learning how to make cheese. We spent some time milking our sheep through the summer months and producing cheese and yoghurt for our local area. We’re proud to have won some awards for our cheese and milk and really enjoyed our time doing this and meeting our loyal customers at the markets. We’re currently not milking our sheep due to some of the other pressures of life and are now focusing on our farmstay accommodation.

We completed our first farmstay cottage in 2012 allowing families to come and stay on the property and share a part of our wonderful life. In 2022, we are proud to have added an additional cottage catering to couples. Larger groups are able to book both cottages allowing for friends and larger family groups to enjoy time away together.
